And now I’m in Virginia… Delia’s Pizzeria… “Must try”… so says Mario Batteli of the little local place. So why not…? My hotel’s nearby and I’ll order it as takeout.
Not bad, but not great either. Crust was thick and chewy—definitely can taste the sugar in it. Sauce was sweeter than I like. Very cheesy with lots of mushrooms and light pepperoni. Greek salad was recommended and one day I’ll learn not to order them. Dressing was a creamy garlic and good, but needed more vinegar—just fell flat.
So not stellar, but hey, I’m not Mario, so what do I know? Until our next eating…
